Chloe & reese designer to launch second line
I have for you a qualified gift from the fashion gods because we have all experienced that I-feel-fat-so-I-want-to-live-in-sweatpants-possibly-forever moment.
Annmarie Scotto-Dinan, designer of chloe & reese, will launch the first collection of designer dresses to incorporate shapewear technology. Considering what I saw from preview photos and her current chloe & reese pieces (which have been featured in Marie Claire, Glamour, Teen Vogue, etc), this new line, appropriately called SLEEK, will keep you both slimmed down and fashionable.
SLEEK designs are simple and classic — perfect foundation pieces you can carry through seasons and a great canvas to build on with jackets and accessories.
I had the amazing opportunity to interview Annmarie and learn more about her lines. She also provided some great tips for timeless style. Click here for the interview on Examiner.com.
Annmarie graciously offered words for us 20-somethings as well:
Style.com – Who’s Wearing Whom?
Style.com has a fun post about ‘Who’s Wearing Whom?‘ at the Golden Globes this weekend. As we know, red carpet fashion is all about which designer the A-list stars are wearing so it is interesting to see the picks Style.com made. I would say they hit the nail on the head. Some of my favorites:
Jennifer Aniston in Gucci
“Jennifer Aniston favors clean lines, and she often highlights her yoga-toned shoulders with a halter-style neckline. Our pick for the presenter is Gucci.”
Chloë Sevigny in Narciso Rodriguez
“Two things we know about Chloë Sevigny’s red-carpet style: The actress loves to show off her legs, and she never plays it safe.”
Kate Winslet in Victoria Beckham
“…Victoria Beckham’s stunning column would still be a winning look for Winslet.”
And, of course, I have to showcase picks of my own:
This pale gold Reem Acra dress with the gorgeous neckline would look great on Ginnifer Goodwin.
If there is anyone who can pull off a show-stopper like this from Elie Saab, it is Cate Blanchett.
I must have an affinity for gold tonight.. but, in any case, these two dresses are stunning, are they not? I am very much looking forward to what the stars will really wear this weekend.

J.Crew Leather Gloves – Winter Clutchness
Hope everyone enjoyed Christmas. This time off has been great for me personally. Sad to see it end but it will do so in a bang.
Anyway, I have to talk about these leather gloves from J.Crew because they have been so clutch these days. I don’t do well in the cold (I am what Spanish speakers would call a “friolenta”) but these gloves make life in the winter much more bearable. Plus, they’re only $49.50.

Yea, I love the pleats too. I ordered another pair of leather gloves from Portolano that are cashmere-lined. Can’t wait for those to come in.
Quick (and Cheap) Tips for Last Minute Christmas Shoppers
If you enjoy last minute, ulcer-inducing holiday shopping as much as I do, you are more or less searching for quick options that will get the goods to you by Christmas Eve (preferably save you some money too). Some helpful tips that I have come across:
1) Endless.com. They always have some sort of sale going on and offer free overnight shipping. FREE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING —> glorious.
2) Borders. They have 50% off most their holiday products. This includes adorable wrapping paper with penguins on them.
3) Steve Madden. Free express shipping. Not overnight like Endless but, hey, this is still damn good. Plus! Get 30% off with code COUNTDOWN30. Must order by tomorrow, Monday 12/21.
4) Lucky Brand. Free express shipping. You can also combine this offer with code 9DECFCBK for $20 off a $100 purchase. Credit to bargainist.com for this tip. Need to order by 12/21 as well.
5) L’Occitane. Free express shipping on orders over $50.
